I’ve skipped Halloween this year. Tomorrow, I’ll get a root canal and buy some candy on the way home.
Those were my first thoughts this morning as I woke up.
I don’t use an alarm. I can tell myself a 15 min window of time I need to wake and wake-up in that window. There was one instance of me sleeping in this year. It resulted in Bea being 30 mins late for class. After that, I used an alarm for several months.
For several months I would wake exactly one minute before the alarm clock. No matter what minute the alarm was set to, between 6:00 -7:17 am… I would wake. One. Minute. Before. And I’d lay there and stare until I had a few seconds left to turn off the alarm.
Bea and I meet at the front door every morning at the same time. I allow Bea complete control of the music on her drive to school. I drop Bea off. I go to the little pet food store on the corner for dog food and I also find a cat treat that only the dog ends up liking.
I take a meeting. It goes well. I like everyone on the call.
