I could barely consider leaving my house this morning.
It was as though sleepiness had consumed my body. Why did I allow the doctor to give me a tetanus combo vaccination at the end of Covid? Why do I get roped into these things, I don’t know.
So I get a pap that triggers my period, I get a vaccination and then I just feel lousy and tired and confused and mad.
So I reframe the situation and I braid my hair in two braid ponytails.
I get in my car and drive to the Rite Aid to get my birth control. And I see Travis from Clueless on the corner waiting to cross and I recall seeing him once on his bicycle last summer.
I park and as I walk into the Rite Aid with two braids in my hair, a tall, slim, older man, two white-haired braid ponytails, wearing a black leather vest passes me and tells me I’m beautiful. I tell him he only thinks that because we have matching hair
.
I enter the Rite Aid, grab some cat food (I always grab cat food, I have so much cat food) and go to the pharmacist who always has a plastic flower in her hair and says she doesn’t have anything for me.
”But I got a pap. I got the pap to get the birth control. I paid my dues.”
I pull out my phone for my Dr App, I show the pharmacist that the prescription was called in. She finds it on her computer.
I get my birth control and the cat food. I come home, feed my animals and still feel lousy even though I was a champion for leaving my house.
There’s more to the day, but none of it is my business to share.
Suffice too say, I am sitting by my fireplace tonight.
Travis from Clueless is everywhere. I swiped over him on Hinge last October.
That was a marathon. You deserve fireside.
