The Stormy Weekend Playlist
This morning I walked to the corner store in the drizzle. Beginning of a hurricane hitting Los Angeles. On my way back, I saw a guy tucked under an awning, wrapped in a fuzzy Snoopy blanket.
“Hey man, this is gonna be a full hurricane. I’m going back to the store. What can I get you?”
He looks at me. “Two shots and a beer.”
I brought him a Budweiser and two coffees. Went back home for tarps. He was gone by the time I returned, but whatever.
So it’s a hurricane weekend here, which means it’s probably raining or snowy and crazy wherever you are too.
I made you a playlist for a cozy weekend in… it’s in order of BPM up and down again. It flows y’all!
Listen, I listen to music like dogs sniff buttholes, like Christians read bibles, like Michael wore Jordans, like 50-year smokers need oxygen tanks.
I am a library of music.
A fucking archive.
My playlists are informed by everything but country music post-2015 because that shit has been AI this entire time and nobody wants to admit it. Luke Bryan.
I’ve been saying this for years.
Nobody listened.
Now look at us.
I’ve spent more time organizing Spotify playlists than I have organizing my actual life. I can tell you the BPM of a song faster than I can tell you my own blood pressure.
This is what I do.
This is who I am.
I want you to think about your warm cozy homes this weekend and do something nice for somebody out in the street.
Ask them what they need.
Go get them something.
If you see somebody out there who needs help, just do the most minor thing you can for them. You know what I mean? I know everybody’s stressed. I’m fucking stressed. We’re all stressed. We got roofs, barely.. but we got them..
Here are the 30 or so songs and playlist..

Sounds like she’s singing about witches from the bottom of a well she fell into on purpose.
