My phone died over three hours ago and I’d totally forgotten about it. I’m too focused on the opening cat plot in, Altman’s, THE LONG GOODBYE because it is so genius,
“Oh, the cat’s hungry, right, right.”
”Courry brand, you know it’s the only brand he eats.”
That cat also deserved an Oscar.
Last night my phone died and I watched Wim Wenders, female crewed, WINGS OF DESIRE, which has warmed me with it’s poetic intensity for over twenty years
.
I’ve been writing for 14 hours a day. I still find time for more work after that- but I also find comfort in art. Books, music, fires in the fireplace, and films.
The cheekiness of PILLOW TALK.
The line, “You dumb bastard. It's not a schooner... it's a sailboat.” in the 3D art scene in MALLRATS.
Shit… I just left this screen for 25mins and now I own the Wings of Desire soundtrack on vinyl.
The last two times I’ve travelled I’ve caught covid.
Not sure how I’m feeling about more travel right now.
Covid is just as fun as I remembered it to be.
HUGE HELLO TO MY NEW SUBSCRIBERS.

Back to Covid and movies…
I finally watched Pink Skies Ahead last night (it’s available to stream in Canada on ctv.ca, if you didn’t know that yet). What a beautiful movie! Thank you for making it, we can’t wait to see what comes next.
Currently in my first bout of covid. Do not recommend. Rest up. Hydrate. Keep writing as you can.
