This story triple confirmed how happy I am to not need glasses for everyday seeing. I need them to drive at night and they help when watching TV/movies but oh boy if I had to touch my eye every day. 😬

I know I’d get used to it but still.

Ok here's my question...as a fellow person with strabismus (seeing doubles) how are you managing to see with dailies!?!?!? The first time I had any sort of depth perception and was subsequently amazed I could ACTUALLY CATCH A SOFTBALL I was in my early 30s and had just received prism correction...but of course that means no more contacts (ok they actually do have a way to make super expensive, out of my budget, 3D printed polycarbonate ones apparently but not dailies). My eyes work together now (ish) but I'm doomed to acetate frames because even the thinnest of lenses stick out too far on wire frames and look idiotic. So genuinely interested, have you just accepted 2D vision and only having one eye work at a time or is there some magic this ophthalmologist knows about that mine doesn't?

As always, appreciate the relatable content.

I used to wear hard lenses and lost one up under my lid. And because it was hard, it suctioned itself to my eyeball and was impossible to move or get out. I’m surprised my eye didn’t rot out of my head using my grimy teenage fingers to cajole it out.

From the sound of it, perhaps you’d be better off with one eyeball anyway?

Ahhh I’ve been there! I was determined to find it lodged somewhere behind my eyeball and after several, several hours found it. Huge sense of relief because there is a moment where you think I’m never going to find it.
