Last night I watched:
Bombshell and Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me
Anna Nicole? I really didn’t know her.
Hedy Lamarr? What this woman waded through her-entire-life-beginning-to-end.
But back to Anna Nicole…
This clip below was so shocking to me, but in light of the writers and actors strikes it shouldn’t be.
I guess this week I’ve really been reflecting on perceived notions. Reality versus fiction.
If you’ve watched either doc feel free to comment, discuss the exploitation and power of women in pop culture.
Yes! I have watched both and my immediate thoughts are that they both marched to their own drummers, did their own thing, listened to what they wanted to do, and were torn down by society, and that includes other women. How sad.
I learned so much about both of them. Hedy was of course a genius. So far ahead of her time. Anna seemed like she had it more together than people presumed. But then society buried her. Just tore her down. It's been a few months since I've watched either but I remember both left me feeling very sad. And if i had known them I would have probably really liked them. Maybe they needed good friends.

Fuckin hell, $50,000 for a film that grossed $351 million. Did Cameron get paid so little??
