Under the hundred-year-old blooming magnolia tree on the driveway, sixty-two year old Javier pulls his electric edger from the back of the gold Toyota truck filled with oily yard machines, tools and buckets.
When I read I see pictures. My husband doesn’t read this way, which blows my mind all the time. I know some people don’t but still. This is so vivid a picture. It reads like a movie. No wonder you are in LA. Where else do picture writers go?
That pink magnolia tree is just amazing. I can almost smell it from the picture. Beautiful story, Kelly. It reminds me of the story from like 11 years ago, maybe more, when you took a car to the airport with that sweet driver who I think played some blues for you because things didn't work out with a show you had hoped to do. I love how you love people.
This story is beautifully written. I felt there on that porch. I mourn the honeysuckle & I’m pissed about the rent going up. Brown haired lady, I’m so glad I subscribed <3
LOVE THIS. Of course, it took me a minute to realize the brown haired lady is you, and my initial thoughts were, Gee, that sounds like Kelly. THAT'S HOW INTO THIS STORY I WAS.
Thanks. I want more. That was a whole world in a few simple but beautifully written paragraphs.
I gotta the goosebumps <3

Yes! Me too & it’s amazing!
Love this so much. ❤️ Javier
Beautiful story, I adore people like Javier. I feel like I'm sitting right there with you 2 ❤️
This is stunning. My favorite story so far. (Javier is the new Leo.)
Loved this, just really gorgeous and lovely.

Hello, brown-haired woman.
The hands part killed me.
There's something incredibly satisfying about your writing, but especially when it's this.
